Tamanu oil comes from the inside kernel of the fruit bloomed by the Tamanu tree. It comes from a tree nut, so steer clear if you have a nut allergy. It has a pungent, nutty scent & varies from dark greenish/yellow in color depending on the season the fruit kernel was picked. Sometimes called "Green Gold" People either like or dislike the smell of this oil. If you find that you do not like the smell of the oil you can mix this in with your moisturizer or add a few drops of a skin safe essential oil to further the wonderful benefits of this oil on the skin. The benefits of this oil are worth it.

If you are using this oil for the treatment of acne scarring, a bit of tea tree oil works very well mixed in. This oil works to fight against both p. acnes & p. granulosom which are the bacterias associated with acne. Combined with its anti-inflammatory effects, it may be beneficial in the treatment of inflammatory acne.

This oil rates 2 on the comedogenic scale meaning it is very unlikely to clog pores, therefore suitable for all skin types.

For hair treatment use a small amount on the ends of the hair to help with split ends or massage into the scalp to benefit the hair follicles. For the treatment of nails use a small amount and massage in to the nail and cuticle area.
