Each of these clays are suitable for all skin types. Read on to find out about the benefits of each clay.

Bentonite Healing Clay:
This particular clay is a powerhouse. It absorbs dirt as well as oil from the skin. It is an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory clay. It helps to relieve dermatitis as well as managing acne prone skin. This Clay is food grade. Please do your own research on taking bentonite clay internally.
Bentonite Clay may be used as a toothpaste and also as a hair mask. This also works wonders as a spot treatment for acne.
It has a fine and soft texture and mixes easily with water or oil.
Bentonite Clay is formed from Volcanic Ash. Large amounts of this clay are found in Wyoming.

Kaolin Cosmetic Grade Clay:
Kaolin Clay is One of the most gentle in mildest clays that can be used in skin care. It helps to give the skin a brighter clear complexion. It does still have the ability to absorb oil, so it does offer benefits to those suffering from acne.
This is one of my very favorite place for those that have sensitive skin. I do not recommend this clay or any clay for those that are dealing with excessive dry skin. Kaolin clay can be used to detoxify the scalp by creating a hair mask and is known to help Is dandruff. For those of you that are very creative Kaolin Clay is common for creating your own deodorant.
Kaolin Clay is often mined in France, Bohemia (Czech Republic) Germany and even in the United States. It comes from kaolinite which is a hydrous aluminum silicate formed by the decomposition of minerals like feldspar.

Fullers Earth (Indian Healing Clay)
Another one of my very favorite class, fullers earth clay is an affective cleanser for those with oily skin or very clogged pores. It will improve your skin tone as well as complexion. It is rich and magnesium chloride and has the ability to gently lighten the skin and reduce scarring from acne as well as hyper-pigmentation.
If you mix equal parts Rosewater with followers earth at a 1:1 ratio it will create a lovely mask that is high in vitamin C and produces a lightning affect. As with any clay-based mask, it is recommended to be used only one time per week. Overuse of any clay mask can result in over drying of the skin which will cause the skin to produce more sebum (oil) to compensate for the dryness. This can further aggravate acneic skin conditions.
This Clay also makes a lovely hair mask and is known to strengthen the hair.

I like to call the following my common sense disclaimer. Please remember that any clay products should be mixed in a plastic, glass, or silicone bowl with plastic utensils. Do not use metal bowls or utensils with clay.

Clay mask should be left on for a maximum of 10 minutes. ***I highly recommend doing a patch test on the soft skin of the inside of the arm prior to use of any new clay.***
If you feel any burning or discomfort prior to the 10 minutes mask time being over....remove the mask immediately and use a cool water rinse.
